Several months ago, police learned that Michael Hudson was selling heroin in Darien and Norwalk, according to police reports. Hudson, whose last known address was 73 Ferris Avenue in Norwalk, based most of his heroin dealing in and about the Colonial Village housing community in Norwalk, police said.
During the investigation, undercover officers were able to purchase heroin from Hudson, police said. On one occasion, a bag of heroin purchased from Hudson was laced with Fentanyl, police said.
During the operation, surveillance officers observed Hudson exiting an apartment in Colonial Village. He began to drive away on a scooter, police said.
When Hudson saw officers, he turned the scooter around and drove onto the grass. He fled into an apartment at 184 West Cedar St. with officers in pursuit, police said.
Officers apprehended Hudson after he fled out the apartment’s rear door, police said.
Officers recovered a bundle of heroin — 10 bags — from Hudson, according to police. During the investigation, officers also recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, police said.
Norwalk police department’s special services division is investigating the origin and possession of the handgun, police said.
Hudson was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell and interfering with an officer, police said.
Hudson was turned over to the Darien police department on the three outstanding sale of narcotics warrants and was held on a $150,000 court-set cash bond, police said.
The Darien police department had three arrest warrants for Hudson. He was charged with sale of narcotics and possession of narcotics, police said.
